Aoi Matsuri

Yesterday, I went to the Aoi Matsuri at Shimogamo-jinja Shrine yesterday with my friend Paul. A friend invited us to sit in the inner enclosure to see the crux of the festival. It was a great day for a festival in Kyoto. Here's a picture of some of the floats that were used in the parade, placed in front of the main gate of the shrine.
